Dreams and the Transformational Power of Chaos:

Once again we are honored to have Jeremy Taylor join us for a journey into the mystery of dreams and how they affect our personal and collective lives. Our theme for this year is the same as the title for this weekend: The Transformational Power of Chaos.

We could ask ourselves (and each other) how is Chaos transformational? How can chaos influence our dreams and our interpretation of them? Don’t we have enough chaos in our lives?

Jeremy tells us dreams come in the service of health and wholeness and speak a universal language. As in waking life, our dreams reflect our authenticity and our quest for self-inquiry and self-interrogation. As we delve deeper and deeper into all realms of reality we begin to engage and participate in a new playground, one where creativity and mystery are the norms for exploration. Chaos jolts us from our orderly and safe lives into a time of disorder and new possibility. Without chaos our safety and contentment would overrule our creativity and spontaneity. With the uncomfortable path of recognizing and accepting chaos as part of our lives here on earth, we open to much more of what is available and we start to change from living “unlived lives” to actually living.

Please join us for a fascinating weekend of exploration and fun. Dive into the uncharted waters of our dreams and begin to open to what might be in store for us in these troubled times.

About Jeremy Taylor:

Jeremy Taylor has worked with dreams for more than 30 years, integrating the values of spirituality with an active social conscience and a Jungian perspective. He is an ordained Unitarian-Universalist minister, is a founding member and past president of the Association for the Study of Dreams, and has written three books merging dream symbolism, mythology, and archetypal energy: Dream Work; Where People Fly & Water Runs Up Hill; and, his most recent, Living Labyrinth:Universal Themes in Myths, Dreams, and the Symbolism of Waking Life. Dr. Taylor currently directs the Marin Institute for Projective Dream Work. He has a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from the University of Creation Spirituality and an honorary Doctor of Sacred Theology (STD) from Starr King School for the Ministry. Jeremy appears regularly on national radio and TV, and pioneered on-line dream work as host of AOL's innovative dream work show.
